Stonebrae Elementary PTA

The school board has set August 23 as the first day of class for the next school year.

Our hours will be changing slightly; they will move up 10 minutes.  In grades 1-6, we will begin class at 8:20 in the morning and dismiss at 3:10, except on Wednesdays when we will dismiss at 12:50.  Morning kindergarten will begin at 8:20 and dismiss at 11:45.  The afternoon kindergarten will begin at 11:45 and dismiss at 3:10.  On Wednesdays, all kindergarten classes will begin at 8:20 and will dismiss at 12:35.

Hayward Unified School District is facing $18 Million in budget reductions due to the California fiscal crisis.

Stonebrae PTA represents parents, teachers, and community members partnering with principals and school administrators to ensure success for our students.  This past year we supported and helped to raise funds for many important programs and activities for the school:  field trips, ice cream social, pancake breakfast, skate night, science fair and walk-a-thon and many other activities.  We are currently developing our goals for the upcoming year and are looking forward to another successful year for 2009-2010!
